With Mother’s Day fast approaching I thought I would give you a few ideas of what you could treat your mum or the motherly figure in your life to this year.

I know my mum has been an absolute star to me all my life, a true hero -showing me continuous support and always being there for me! So, one gift alone, or even a few gifts, could never meet the magnitude of my gratefulness to her, but a little treat might just reminder how how much she is appreciated!
1. ESPA Bath Oil Collection
If you mum is anything like mine, they are always rushing around and doing things for others. So why not give them the ultimate gift of self-care and relaxation. The ESPA bath oils are utterly divine. They smell incredible and make the skin feel soft and supple.
This Bath Oil Collection from ESPA is the perfect gift so they can try them all out, decide which scents are their favourites so they can perhaps repurchase a full size in the future.
2. Calm Club Big Night In Box
The Calm Club Big Night In Box is such a cute little gift idea and perfect for these times when we are all spending time at home. The box includes a pair of cosy wool socks, a lovely ceramic mug, a padded sleep mask, a soy wax candle and a mindfulness puzzle. Everything she would need for a relaxing night in.
3. Charlotte Tilbury Makeup Kit
There are plenty of Charlotte Tilbury Makeup Kits and products to choose from, perfect for a wide range of budgets. The kit I have selected is actually designed to be a Bridal Makeup Kit. However, I think it includes perfectly muted tones and products that would be ideal for mature skin and a natural flush.
This particular kit includes a Pillow Talk Lipstick and Lip Cheat, as well as an Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder and Magic Away Concealer. This colours will hugely compliment mature skin, giving a lightweight yet glamorous complexion. The lip colours are universal and the shade of the powder and concealer can be chosen to ensure the perfect match.
4. Neom Bedtime Ritual Set
Although I can’t speak from experience, I’m sure being a mum is hard. Busy, long days are inevitable, so your mum certainly deserves a good nights sleep! Neom is such a luxurious self-care brand, so any product from Neom would be the perfect gift, but this Bedtime Ritual Set is perfect for those mums in need of a little relax and unwind before bed.
This set includes a scented candle which aids relaxation, a Wonder Balm and The Perfect Nights Sleep Hand Balm (my mum certainly loves a hand cream!)
5. Cashmere Bed Socks
There isn’t a much better feeling than putting on some cosy bed socks, is there? Well imagine that feeling but 10x’s better. The answer: cashmere bed socks! Absolutely delightful and pure heavenly, your mother will love these!
For socks, they are a little pricey, but they will make the perfect gift and something I’m sure your mum will get a lot of use out of!
6. Personalised Champagne
Anything personalised for me makes a winning gift, but a personalised bottle of champagne is sure to bring that wow factor! One of the main things I love about this as a gift is that your mum could actually drink the champagne and be able to keep the case as a keepsake. A win win situation really!
Personalise it with their name or just ‘mum’ or even a cute little message expressing thanks or love.
7. A Weighted Blanket
A weighted blanket is essential a continuous hug. They are extremely calming and cosy. Weighted Blankets have been proven to improve sleep quality and provide an at-home therapy, easing anxiety and worries.
I feel every mum deserves the best night sleep they can get, so perhaps a weighted blanket would aid that perfect night’s rest.
8. Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser
Since I discovered the Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser it has completely changed the hot chocolate game for me. However, this machine is not a one-trick pony. This device can make creamy hot chocolates, at-home barrista style lattes or can even operate as a milk frother.
It warms the milk and froths the milk simultaneous to give you the most delicious warm drink and I think mums everywhere would appreciate a cosy, creamy hot drink.
9. Neom Wellbeing Pod
The Neom Wellbeing Pod is another ultimate relaxation tool. It is a small pod which you fill with water and an essential oil of your choice and it creates a fine mist with the essential oil infused. The mist circulates the whole room and leave the most incredible spa-like scent across the whole space.
I use mine almost everyday and there are so many different scents to choose from so the scent your mother chooses to diffuse can be completely tailored to her needs and taste.
Note: The essential oils need to be purchased separately from the Wellbeing Pod. Neom sell beautiful essential oils, but you can purchase alternative essential oils from different companies.
10. Personalised Biscuits
A little sweet treat will probably go down a storm with lots of mums. Something they can enjoy with a nice cup of tea or a glass of prosecco. These personalised biscuits are so cute, feminine and look delicious! There are so many businesses that sell personalised confectionary items but I thought it would be nice to support a small business!
11. Card Holder
Card holders are incredibly useful. At the minute I only really reach for my card holder rather than a purse. They are super compact and can easily fit into any bag as well as the option just to carry the card holder around in your pocket if you’re nipping to the shop.
I think mums everywhere would really benefit from a card holder but the best think about gifting one is that they can be suited to all budgets. I have chosen a couple of my favourites, the first being a luxury brand and the second been a small business but equally as sleek looking (plus, the option to personalise which I always think is very special).
12. An Elegant Necklace
A classic, simple necklace oozes elegance and would make the perfect gift for your mum or the motherly figure in your life. There are endless options to choose from when it comes to necklaces, but my personal preference is a simple pendant. I think they are so classic, timeless and versatile – they can be worn everyday or for special occasions.
I have chosen this particular pendant from Swarovski which I think is so elegant but affordable. This is another gift that the budget can range massively so it is a perfect gift idea to be able to tailor to what your gifting allowance is.
13. Flower Subscription
I mean whose mum wouldn’t love to receive a fresh bunch of flowers each month? A subscription to monthly bouquets really is the gift that keeps on giving with a new bunch arriving each month.
My recommended place to order would be Bloom & Wild. They offer a number of different subscription options at different price points. Ranging from an ongoing subscription to a fixed subscription of 3, 6 or 12 months.
Use CHLOE BURNLEY at checkout for £10 off at Bloom & Wild.
Even if you do not want to buy into the subscription, you could just treat your mother to some doorstep flowers or a beautiful bouquet.
14. Chase Pink Elderflower Gin
This gin would make such a wonderful gift for a gin-loving mum. The perfect blend of pink gin with an elderflower flavouring, this limited edition gin is bound to go down a treat!
15. The Ultimate Afternoon Tea Selection
What a perfect gift for lockdown – an at-home ultimate afternoon tea selection. You can have all these treats delivered to your mum or the motherly figure in your life so they can enjoy an afternoon tea at home on mother’s day. It is filled with glorious sweet treats and blends of tea and coffee, perfect for a sweet filled afternoon.
16. Photo Frame
A photo frame is a relatively inexpensive yet very effective and personal gift idea. Add your favourite photo together or a photo that is special to your mum and it will make the perfect keepsake.
17. A Pair Of Classic Earrings
Jewelery is always a winner in my eyes. Simplistic, elegant and classic pieces are usually what I would go for. This is another gift which can vary hugely depending on your budget but I have chosen these very simple studs from Ted Baker. This are super simple and classic but will still add that little bit of glamour!
18. The Connoisseur Gin Tasting Experience Gift
We are back to the gin…I’m not even sorry. And I don’t think your mum will be either. This is a quirky little gift, again perfect for the gin lovers and the ideal activity for one evening in lockdown.
There are four different flavours of gin to try in this Connoisseur Gin Tasting Experience so it is certainly a gift with a little variety and would allow a gin lover to try some flavours they maybe haven’t experienced before.
19. Personalised Compact Jewellery Box
Perhaps your mum is a huge jewellery lover and already has a vast collection to her name. If so, she may need somewhere to store it? How about gifting her a beautiful jewellery box. This one from Stackers is compact yet stylish. It will look incredibly sleek on top of a dressing table but equally ideal for transporting.
There are many compartment, cleverly designed to store different types of jewellery. There is space for everything and the best part is you can ever personalise the product with their initials.
20. NEOM Intensive Treatment Candle
There is certainly a reoccuring theme with this gift guide but I truly believe mothers deserve all the relaxation they can get. Im sure any luxurious candle would be highly appreciated but I think this NEOM Intensive Treatment Candle takes it that extra mile.
This candle acts as a 2-in-1 product. Not only does it fill the room with a beautiful, relaxing scent when lit but the candle transforms into a body oil once melted. This will help relieve dehydrated and fatigued skin and the lavender, jasmine and sweet basil scent is sure to aid a wonderful night’s sleep. What a treat!
Whatever your budget and whomever you are gifting to this Mother’s Day, I hope these ideas have helped you find the perfect gift for someone very special in your life!
Lots of love, Clo x
